What is the difference between a Trade NAFTA visa (TN visa) and a Green Card? A TN visa is temporary in nature, valid for only one year and is employer specific. This means you are restricted to work for a specified employer and no other company. Additionally, if your spouse accompanies you, he or she is not authorized to work in the United States. In contrast, a Green Card allows you to live and work in the United States for a ten year period. As a permanent resident, you can eventually qualify for U.S. citizenship. Also your dependents, your spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 are eligible to apply for Green Cards as well.
What are the requirements for obtaining a Green Card through Medical Express?
How long does it take to get a Green Card? The processing time varies based upon the area of the United States where you will work and the region where you file your petition. The entire process is likely to take between 24 and 36 months. What are the family immigration policies with a Green Card? One of the great benefits of the Green Card program is that your spouse and dependent children under age 21 may qualify to emigrate with you to the United States.
Who pays attorney fees?Medical Express will pay attorney fees and related expenses for the filing of your employment-based Green Card, including the cost of an employment authorization document and one travel document. You will be responsible for the payment of Green Card applications for your spouse and/or minor children, as well as any extraordinary expenses should your case include complications requiring additional attorney attention.
We do not require payment from you for the ordinary legal fees and costs related to the filing of your Green Card petition, provided you work the minimum number of hours for us, as outlined in your contract letter. If you leave before completing the specified hours, you will be responsible for reimbursing your Green Card-related costs, based on the remaining hours you have not worked.
